Can I pour boiling water down the drain?
While boiling water can help clear grease and soap buildup in metal pipes, it’s not always safe for plastic piping systems (like PVC), which may warp or soften. If used, boiling water should be poured slowly and followed with cold water to flush debris through. However, this method is only effective for minor clogs. For persistent or deeper blockages, it’s better to use a plunger, a drain snake or consult a licensed plumber.
What should I do if my toilet keeps running?
